Zugdidi is not among the most touristed destinations in Georgia, but if you have the time, we recommend at least half a day. We visited the Dadiani estate, which was a fascinating peak into life of Georgian nobility when the country was part of Russian empire. Aside from beautiful interior, the castle houses one of Napoleon Bonaprte’s three bronze death masks, which came into the family possession via a marriage between a Dadiani princess and a descendant of Napoleon’s sister. Neat.
